Here are some archive pictures kindly supplied by John Kemp of Dowty Aerospace Propellors.  They feature the Dowty-Rotol Islander fitted with a "ducted propulsor", and appropriately registered G-FANS.   First flown by Sqn Leader Neville Duke from Shoreham on 10th June 1977, the aircraft could occasionally be seen at Staverton.
