Callsign 'Science 01', the Dornier 228, registration D-CALM is operated by the NERCs Airbourne Research and Survey Facilty.  It is used in the fields of optical remote sensing, oceanography, atmospheric and earth science research.  It spends large periods of time on detachment overseas.
